3 Things should be considered while buying a Labrador Puppy

Labrador puppies need a lot of exercises

Labradors like to exercise and this is an important need for their proper growth and development. On average a labrador needs at least one hour of walking a day.

Ensure that your home is large enough to accommodate a labrador puppy. Owing to how fast labradors grow, it’s important to think of the future before bringing your labrador home.

When buying a labrador puppy you should consider the following questions:

Do you have room in your home for a large dog?

A labrador is a large dog that needs a lot of room to play and grow. Ask yourself if you have space within your home to care for a labrador. In the first few months of your dog’s life, your dog may not be potty trained. Are you ready to clean up after your dog?

Is there anyone at home with the dog when you go out to school/office?

Labradors tend to be quiet dogs, however, when a dog is bored or feeling lonely, it may tend to bark that might disturb your neighbors.

Are you able to take care of your dog’s nutritional needs?

Labradors like to eat a lot and that’s why it’s not so uncommon to see an overweight labrador. Ensure that you feed your puppy high nutrition food that is rich in protein, iron, and calcium. Puppy food is readily available in the market, so you can rely on that for your dog’s nutrition.

When feeding your puppy it’s not just a matter of serving your puppy healthy food. You also need to feed your puppy the right amount of food so that the puppy does not overfeed.
